Will Chignell

Will started his career at Sky Television and was a global broadcaster across various sports, specializing in rugby, where he commentated on 300+ live matches. He then founded a premium Marketing and Communications consultancy, mentoring and trained professionals at all levels of organizations, from CEO’s downwards, on the marketing and communications skills required to excel. He then went in house, and has held various Board, NED and Executive level roles (CMO / CCO / CIO), for various iconic brands, often with a challenger, change or fast-growth mandate. He has worked for RFU, delivering the Rugby World Cup in 2015, Oracle – America’s Cup, World Surf League, Apex Group and consulted for many more including: UKSport, Barclays and the International Olympic Committee, leading many global commercial, marketing, PR, client relations and digital teams, and has extensive crisis management experience.

In 2019, he co-founded and built the world’s leading private markets ESG and sustainability consultancy, Apex-Holtara, from concept to where it now, five years later, having 160+ employees based in 7 countries, servicing 300+ investment managers (including Blackstone, JPMorgan, BlackRock, Investec, HSBC and many others), assessing and driving positive change for 3,000+ companies in 50+ countries, garnering 10 awards. He is an experienced leader of teams, mentor and is an ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) qualified coach.

In his spare time he is a Director of the Apex Foundation, which has to date raised $2m+ for 40+ projects assisting environmental preservation, conservation and protection, and women’s empowerment and economic independence.
