Jimmy Gordon

Having graduated in Law from Edinburgh University, Jimmy began his career in the marketing sector. Jimmy joined a communications consultancy before setting up his own business, Gordon Coote Associates. 

His clients included Deloitte, Disney, Honeywell and Peugeot amongst others. Jimmy was invited to become a director of IDG (Inspirational Development Group) and subsequently became Chairman of its Middle East operations. IDG was a global leadership and management practice working with countries, corporations and enterprises to enhance leadership capability; build high performing teams and create sustainable behavioural change. IDG’s initial work in the Middle East was on behalf of the Crown Prince of Bahrain where a comprehensive leadership development was delivered for more than 1,000 young Bahrainis and local managers were trained as assessors and mentors. Jimmy also led similar programmes in Saudi, the UAE and Oman. In Jordan Jimmy has led IDG’s work on the Civil Service Development Programme on behalf of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development; youth leadership for the Crown Prince’s Foundation; leadership and team building for Her Majesty’s Office at the Royal Hashemite Court; and programmes for several commercial clients.
