Claire is a strategic leader and coach with expertise in education, training, and organisational transformation. Her first career was in the British Army. Having graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, she commanded geographically dispersed teams of varying sizes, delivering education, training, and welfare services to over 6,000 military personnel and their families. As a Lieutenant Colonel, she managed multi-million-pound budgets, drove cultural change, and implemented innovative learning strategies to enhance operational performance. She represented the Army at netball and the Combined Services as a Kayaker.

Claire has extensive experience advising and leading organisations through complex change, from military training and education policy to civilian apprenticeships and vocational development. As CEO of the Royal Artillery Centre for Personal Development and Executive Director of Sheldrake Training, she has spearheaded major apprenticeship and workforce development programmes, securing high-value contracts and expanding opportunities for both military and civilian learners.

Drawing on her many years of leadership experience, Claire now works with leaders and teams at all levels to build resilience, optimise performance and navigate uncertainty. She has advised and trained leaders across the public and private sectors, leveraging her experience in governance, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement to support innovation and drive sustainable growth.
